Kids Bikes
From 3 to 12 yrs old you are considered to need a kids bike.

In reality, it's amazing that any of us go on to become cyclist, because kids bikes, are mostly made from steel or heavy poor quality alloy (which looks good) which is very heavy. They can have average brakes and poor riding positions.

We believe that kids deserve something better and that way, they will be firstly safer and secondly beat their friends!!!!

Don't buy a cheap bike - especially one with solid wheels and plastic bushes in the headset or pedal crank - these are technically toys and could be dangerous when outside of you own home.

Choose a bike with full bearings and front and back brakes. Check the weight, the better the quality, the more they'll love it.

  • 12" WHEEL FOR 3-5 YRS

All bikes with 12" wheels are single speed, and come with stabilisers, featuring a fully enclosed chainguard to protect those lovely trousers!!

  • 14" WHEEL FOR 4-6 YRS

As above stabilisers come as as standard on this size of bike.

  • 16" WHEEL FOR 5-8 YRS

Incredibly, this category is available with full suspension, even though you won't want them using it. Single geared without stabilisers.

  • 18" WHEEL FOR 6-9 YRS

As well as all of the features of 16", these bikes these are available with derailleur gears (try and buy Shimano - they work and need little maintaining), usually with a twist grip shifter and 5 gears. This is great if you are riding with them, but takes some understanding, especially if they are starting off in 5th. I recommend gear 2.
  • 20" WHEEL FOR 7-10 YRS

These bikes come with all of the features of adult bikes - in fact some adults use these bikes a stunt bikes as they can feature disk brakes and alloy frames. Your child is now getting into technology so check the quality and the brand before you buy.
